Glossary

A reference guide to terms and concepts used on the Amabit platform.

A

API Key

A pair of credentials (public key + secret key) that allows external applications and trading bots to access your Amabit account programmatically. Learn more →

AUM (Assets Under Management)

The total capital managed by a PAMM manager, including their own funds and all connected members' funds.

B

Billing Cycle

The schedule on which PAMM manager commissions are calculated and paid (e.g., monthly).

Broker

An intermediary that provides access to an exchange. Amabit is an official Binance broker, meaning trades execute on Binance but are managed through Amabit's platform.

C

Cross Margin

A futures margin mode where your entire account balance is shared across all open positions. Provides more margin but means losses on one position can affect others. Learn more →

D

Drawdown

The largest peak-to-trough decline in account value, expressed as a percentage. A key risk metric — lower drawdown indicates more controlled risk management.

F

Funding Rate

A periodic payment exchanged between long and short futures holders. Keeps the futures price aligned with the spot price. If positive, longs pay shorts; if negative, shorts pay longs.

H

Hedge Mode

A futures trading mode that allows holding both long and short positions simultaneously on the same trading pair. Requires separate management of each position direction. Learn more →

I

Isolated Margin

A futures margin mode where each position has its own dedicated margin. A liquidation on one position does not affect others. Learn more →

K

KYC (Know Your Customer)

Identity verification required before trading on Amabit. Involves submitting a government-issued ID for review. Learn more →

L

Leverage

A multiplier that allows you to trade with more capital than you actually have. For example, 10x leverage means $100 controls a $1,000 position. Available on futures only. Learn more →

Limit Order

An order that executes only when the market reaches your specified price. Gives you price control but may not execute if the market doesn't reach your target.

Liquidation

The forced closing of a futures position when the margin drops below the maintenance margin requirement. Results in loss of the margin allocated to the position.

M

PAMM Account

An Amabit account type that allows managing capital on behalf of other users through the PAMM system. Learn more →

Market Order

An order that executes immediately at the best available market price. Guarantees execution but not price.

Member

A user who connects their funds to a PAMM manager's account. Members' capital is managed by the PAMM manager.

O

OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other)

An order type where two orders are linked — when one executes, the other is automatically cancelled. Learn more →

One-Way Mode

A futures position mode where you can only hold one direction (long or short) at a time per trading pair. Simpler than Hedge Mode. Learn more →

P

PAMM (Percentage Allocation Management Module)

A system that allows professional traders (managers) to manage other users' capital. Profits and losses are distributed proportionally. Learn more →

PnL (Profit and Loss)

The net gain or loss from trading activities, expressed in absolute value or percentage.

R

Reduce-Only

A futures order setting that ensures the order can only reduce an existing position, never open a new one. Used for exit orders.

S

Slippage

The difference between the expected execution price and the actual execution price. More common with market orders and during high volatility.

Stop-Limit Order

An order that becomes a limit order when the trigger price is reached. Combines the control of a limit order with the automation of a stop trigger.

Stop-Market Order

An order that becomes a market order when the trigger price is reached. Guarantees execution but not the exact price.

Success Fee

The commission model used by PAMM managers on Amabit. Managers earn a percentage only on profits generated — if there is no profit, there is no fee. Learn more →

Sub-account

An independent trading account within your Amabit profile. You can create multiple sub-accounts for different strategies. Learn more →

T

Take-Profit (TP)

An order that automatically closes a position when the price reaches a specified profit target. Amabit supports multiple TP levels with partial closes. Learn more →

Trailing Stop

A stop order that follows the price at a specified distance (callback rate). Locks in profits while giving the trade room to move. Learn more →

Trader

The standard Amabit account type for personal trading on spot and futures markets. Learn more →

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

A security method that requires two forms of verification — your password plus a time-based code from Google Authenticator. Learn more →

V

Vesting Period

A lock-up period set by PAMM managers. Members cannot withdraw their funds during the vesting period after connecting. Learn more →

W

Webhook

A URL endpoint that receives automated signals from external services like TradingView. When a signal is sent to the webhook, Amabit executes the corresponding trade. Learn more →
